I thought it would be important to take a moment to explain some of the thought behind my newest venture: mac & jean jewelry. No, I'm not selling for a company, mac & jean isn't like premier, lia sophia, or other similar companies. mac & jean is an etsy shop that I created in order to sell jewelry, a product different from the mittens, infinity scarves, and headbands I sell at One Stitch Away. I've always been obsessed with jewelry and I have loved both big, colorful pieces, and small, delicate gem pieces. Earrings are a personal favorite accessory of mine, and for a long time I contemplated adding earrings to my first etsy shop. After some consideration, I realized that because earrings are a very different product from scarves and headbands, it would be better to open a second shop for jewelry. Hence, the birth of mac & jean. The thought behind the name is simple: Mac and Jean were the names of my two pet fish growing up. They're the only pets I've ever owned and loved, and their names remind me of my childhood.
